Hi,

The reference for Alfred's death:

Alfred J Timberlake   DecQ 1913    Hackney    1b   472

A copy of this certificate should give Alfred's home address which will give you a start point to search for likely cemeteries.

Certificates cost £9.25 and can be ordered from:

Hi Nanny Jan,

I've got vol nos. page. nos. etc. even emailed family doing " Timberlake tree " - no reply, emailed local Govts for Cemetery/ies - for Hackney & Rochford - no reply.

The certificate you refer to is that different from a death certificate.

In Australia a death cert. only refers to the deceased medical reasons for there death nothing else.
not where they are going to be interred [buried/cremated].

When you are young you don't think of asking these sort of things - as you get older they mean all the difference sentimentally.

Thanks Nanny Jan, just for taking the time & effort.

Kind regards Ann  :)

That is the death certificate.  The only information that would give that would help is the address at which he died and possibly the death of the informant.  If he died in hospital it may not help at all.

Added - Valda has done a guide to cemeteries in the London area here
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=403485.0

This is the area covered by the Hackney registration district
http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/districts/hackney.html

Where is he living in 1911

Hi,

The references I gave are for a death certificate, which will show his usual address but not any burial arrangements.  Using his home address will help you find the nearest/most likely cemetery. The death certificate will also give the exact date of death which will be necessary for any burial register search.

Hi Ann, Hackney Council lists cemeteries in the area here
http://www.hackney.gov.uk/ce-burial-and-grave-details-335.htm#.U9_SW381gv5

Abney Park Cemetery has an online burial index, there are 3 Timberlakes buried there but not Alfred or Jessie.
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~abneypark/abneyy.html
Robbins - Wolverhampton.
Spooner - Monmouthshire & Wolverhampton.
Warner & Loundes - Dudley/West Bromwich.
Dod(g)son - Heysham/Liverpool/Wolverhampton
