William Jeffs was 83 in 2009.  There is a vague newspaper reference in the Northern Echo to his death sometime before 19 December 2009. So yes he was 1931 but .....nothing on freebmd...except 1925 in Stockton, Durham.

Was he a local man?

Did anyone find the DOB for Christopher Shears born December quarter 1903.

Looks like his middle name was Breckon.

Now an interesting aside there is a 'Kit' Breckon who played for the club about the same time.
