Sellers grand kids' parent(s)?
« on: Friday 18 July 14 20:30 BST (UK) »
The 1871 census shows Charles W. Sellers (b 1864) & Thomas F. Sellers (b 1866) as grandchildren to Everitt Sellers & Rachel (nee Lincoln). However, their male sons (2) do not appear to have sons!

Any help to connect some dots? Possibly there's a chance one of the females (5) had children prior to marriage.
Here's hoping . . .

Were they the sons of Ellen, who was living with the parents in 1871 and they were living with Ellen and her new husband in 1881  https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/X3N4-SZX

I think Kay99īs theory makes sense. If this is important to your research you could confirm the theory by ordering the birth certificates for the boys.

If they are Ellen's children and she was not married at the time, don't be too surprised if the birth certificates list a fictitious father (to avoid embarrassment).

Just a couple? My big challenge is that some of my "Who is my Daddy?" people are those who I thought I was absolutely sure about who the parent was before I started my research, but see now that what we thought was fact turned out to be fiction :) :)
