Hi there Jeanette,

I gather that your great-grandfather, William Baird Dunbar was my grandfather's (Joseph Tweedie Dunbar) brother.

I think that George (their father) was probably been burried in Johnstonebridge in Dumfriesshire but I'm not 100% certain.

I have George's marriage cert, death cert, census returns, if you PM me with your email address I'd be able to forward these onto you, along with any other info I have.

My great grandfather William Baird Dunbar married to Agnes Scott, his parents were George Dunbar and Jane Baird.

Grandparents were James Dunbar and Elizabeth Gordon (daughter of Robert Gordon and Esther/Hester McTier of Gatehouse) and great grandparents were Joseph Dunbar and Sarah Jamieson (daughter of Joseph Jamieson and Margaret McKean of Girthon, Kircudbright)

William's siblings were James, Andrew, George, Mary Jane, Joseph, Jane and Jessie.

According to my father his grandfathers both worked on the railway and lived at Kirkgunzeon.
