Glad we could be of help.  There are many sites on the web that have access to census returns, BDM etc.  I personally subscribe to Ancestry and Find My Past.  If you don't want to subscribe, local libraries sometimes have access.  I just had a quick look and see Devon County Council has access to the library edition of Ancestry (you have to go to a local library).  My local Family History Group have access to ancestry and find my past,  and members can use the resource during meetings.

Here on Rootschat, there are lots of people only too happy to help, but I suggest you start a new topic with details of the person/family you want help with.

The link Tom gave to Yorkshire BDM is the index to some Yorkshire BDMs.  It is not subscription,  and will give you a reference number so that you can send for  the death certificate which would give you full details of the death.
