I am looking for any information on a Patrick Horgan who married Catherine McDermoth (or McDermott) in St. Peter & Pauls Church Cork in June 1879. I think this may be the same  Patrick  that was born in June 1859 to John Horgan and Mary Horgan (nee Leahy). Patrick was the brother of my Granfather Francis Horgan born in Cork around 1886.  They had a brother named Daniel that emigrated to London.  According to my Granfather's Army Records Patrick emigrated to the U.S.A. but I do not have a date as to when he went. Neither can I find any Baptismal records in Cork for any Children born to Patrick and Catherine.

I think that John may be the son of the couple that merjones found.  You can see the 1900 census here - https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MSKZ-CY5  It lists John's date of birth as Dec. 1887, which looks off by a year which is not uncommon.  A WWI draft card seems to fit the date of birth on the birth record - https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/KXY3-GTK

Children James, Catherine, and Grace appear to be with widowed mother Catherine in Manhattan in the 1910 census.  The New York City death index at www.italiangen.org has two deaths of Patrick Horgans between 1900 and 1910 that may fit his age.

Hi Shellesq, According to Church Records in St. Peter & pauls Cork Ireland patrick was born in 1859 and Baptised two days later.  I have found a Marriage for a Patrick Horgan in St. Peter & Pauls Church to a Catherine McDermot in June 1879 this may or may not be the same Patrick Horgan. According to your records Patrick emigrated in 1874 which would have made him only 15 years old this to me would seem unlikely.  15 years seems a bit young to emigrate alone.

I wouldn't put 100% stock in the immigration date, because memories fade and he may not have been the one to give the information anyway.  My husband has ancestors who gave a different year of immigration for every census.

Also, people did immigrate young in those days, so I don't think 15 wouldn't have been out of the question.

Hopefully, we can rule in or out this Patrick one way or another.

Do the Army records that said Patrick went to the US have any further detail?
