hi can anyone look up a divorce record of a William moore Gibson born 1896 derby married 1915 Scotland to a bridget mary cathe peters  not sure of the date but between 1920 and 1934 as that's when he married again thankyou in Garston Liverpool

You say he married in Garston in 1934 but there is no marriage shown on freebmd or LancsBMD

William Moore Gibson born Derby - is in Orford Barracks Warrington in 1911 census aged 17 - so presumably a soldier ??
the William Moore Gibson who married  Bridget Mary Catherine Peters in 1915 in Scotland - during WW1..the question is - which William Moore Gibson was it ?
maybe it was the b 1893 in Derby and not the b 1896 in Derby ..and that is why you can`t find a divorce ?
I live in Garston ....I can`t post the 1911 census - but you can ....

I think we need a couple of members help on this one as there seems to be TWO William Moore Gibson - both born Derby - 3 years apart ...any more experienced researchers hep out on this one please ??

ADDED...freebmd has no William Moore Gibson b 1893/94 in Derby ...but there is a William Gibson sep qtr 1893....
does anyone think that maybe William Moore Gibson was recorded in Garston 1911 census aged 15 - and then re recorded in Orford barracks for the same 1911 census but mistranscribed as 17 - because he lied about his age ??...were boys of 15 allowed to join the Army in 1911 ...bit stuck here ...

A tree has the W M Gibson with Parents James/Sarah nee Morre marrying 1935 Wirral to Lilly LLOYD.
FreeBMD has a Marriage Reg Dec 1935 Wirral, 8a 1130 for William M GIBSON, Lily LLOYD on same page

FreeBMD has a least 4 Childrens Birth Regs, 1936-1947 Wrexham to a Gibson, MMN Llloyd

There is a Death Reg for a William M Gibson, Dec 1951, Wrexham, 8a 402, age 55 (birth c 1896)

Does your Family have a Welsh connection sianni49?

If not the other William Moore Gibson may be yours?

James William Gibson aged 39 born Derby
Sarah Jane Gibson aged 39 born Derby
William Moore Gibson aged 15 born Derby
trouble is - are they all in the same household ...and - I am curious to where they lived ...might be around the corner from me ...nosey aren`t  I ....lol
ADDED...www.cheshirebmd.org.uk has that marriage to Lily Lloyd in 1935 ....I try not to buy certs if I can help it - but in this instance I think this marriage certificate is a must to confirm it is the right William Moore Gibson / also the 1915 marriage cert in Scotland to see if Williams father was James ?- unless Siani already has it - that would help.

Hi

Ancestry has some WW1 Service Records for William Moore Gibson, whilst they are damaged you can extract some information. William was born Derby and joined the RFA 5th June 1912 in Liverpool age 17yrs 6 months, this works back to a birth Nov/Dec 1894 which doesn't match but he could have put is age up by a year. A birth Nov/Dec 1895 could have been registered in the March Qtr 1896. His address on enlistment was 7 Locke St, Garston. He was discharged 4th Nov 1914 for misconduct.

Do you have copies of both the 1915 and 1935 marriages to confirm his fathers name? The Scottish registration should also have his mothers name. Also, does his 1935 marriage indicate he was divorced?
