Mrs Brown's Boys rings a bell but never seen it and not heard of those books either sorry Brendan!

Don't like Tamzin but often the people you don't like as "actors" you end up liking.  Jason Donovan in particular for me he seemed so genuinely interested in everything.

Over the years there have been several that I thought - I do not fancy that one, but they have often ended up being the ones that I have found the most interesting and sometimes emotional.

Still love the Bill Oddie and Amanda Redmond ones.  Both these can still make me shed a tear.

But a favourite of mine was the guy who plays Watson/Bilbo Baggins (for the life of me his name has escaped me!).  Because of the syphillis information.  Had an ancestor who died of tertiary syphillis, a truly nasty disease.  He was one of my g/grans uncles by marriage.  Martin ??

Ones that I found truly boring was Esther Rantzen for some reason and Laurence Llywellyn Bowen, oh and David Suchet.

Looking forward to the new series. Some very interesting characters there. Love Julie Walters so hope hers is a cracker.

There are very few that I am disappointed in - and recently that has been due to concentrating on only one or two ancestors, which can be OK, but I prefer it when they spread the research a little further. Two that come to mind as being pretty poor were John Hurt and Carol Vordermans. :P

Martin Freeman. He has been in loads of things, including Sherlock, Love Actually, The Office (with Ricky Gervaise) etc etc.
Agree, that was a good episode.  :)

Both of those are being repeated at the moment, certainly the Amanda one is on my planner.

I like the Jeremy Paxman one as he sheds a tear and it was totally not the reaction he was expecting.
My absolute favourite episode of all is Kim Cattrell.
