Hi Ruskie,

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. I posted the message just before I went to work!

The first episode is Andrew Denton and it apparently airs: 7:30pm Tuesday 8 July on SBS ONE

But keep an eye out in case I got that wrong.

Yeah!  ;D

It would be interesting for us in the UK to see the Australian version of WDYTYA after it has aired in Aus. As was commented on on another thread, we don't seem to get much tv from Aus, whereas you get some from here. I wonder if it will ever happen?

My other favourite programme is 'Long Lost Family'.   New series starts on 14th July 2014.

No worries hsfam.  ;)

And thanks a lot. I will double check and write it on my calendar, or I will forget. Sounds like it might clash with Masterchef. Will have to miss Masterchef I think.  :)

I'd like to see the Aussie version too. I wonder if it will be aired in the UK. Even if you don't know the celebrities, I always find it very interesting

I like Long Lost Family too!

They are definitely more interesting that the US version that the BBC seems to think we only want to see. ::)  I've ended up purchasing copies on DVD direct from Australia but since our delightful government reduced further the amount you can purchase without import duties, they are now off limits because they will always work out over £15 (used to be £18).  When you add £8 import duty and Royal Mail's fee, it's a bit too expensive on top of the postage costs. :-\  They are though available to purchase through SBS's website as iTunes downloads, but haven't tried it.

Just hoping one of these days the BBC will actually see reason. ;)

I know a RCer the other year suggested I download them to view from a streaming site, but you never know what added things may download with them that way. :-X
