Bmd indexes show mothers maiden name after 1911, so you should be able to pick up possible children from there.

We are beginning to get to the era when people may still be alive, so we will be unable to post details here, as it is against Rootschat policy to post details of possibly living people. This is not really a forum for tracing living people.

Aswell as the BMD indexes, you could also look for wills as they can be a mine of information about someones descendents.

Using http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ you will see that there are 2 possible children born in Macclesfield,10 years apart.So maybe they had some miscariages or still births in between?

But as Liz says they may well still be alive so we cannot mention their names on here.

And what about Harriett? Possible marriage 1946 in Macclesfield to a William Ashley, if she was an older bride. Or maybe this is someone from the next generation down, if one of the boys had a daughter called Harriett.

There is a death for a William Barton born 13th January 1915, in Sheffield 1975 aged 60


There is a possible death for Wilfred Barton senior in Macclesfield in 1969 aged 76. Birth date given as 10th December 1892

He is My nans Grandad she always called him Henry, it wasn't until recently she discovered his 1st name was actually William. William Henry Meredith (Great Great grandfather) - Frederick Meredith (Great Grandfather) Wendy Bright (Maiden - Meredith my nan) - Carl Bright (My Father)- Luke Bright me.
