Bob most but not all DCMs and MMs are in the London Gazette online...i personally find it difficult to navigate.
Plenty of knowledge on great war forum and British Medal Forum if you are looking for someone specific
Walker produced a book on WW1 DCMs its expensive but lists them all

Hi, Ady
Tried the Gazette online for almost an hour, came off knowing less than when I started.
I even watched their video about finding relevant info.
I didn't think that I was an idiot, but beginning to wonder.
Will try to find another way to solve the problem.
Regards
Bob.

Who are you looking for? Its sometimes easier to put in less in the search engine
Ive searched with just a service number before

Hi,
Looking for Pte. David Craigie. 2nd Bn Seaforth Highlanders. WW1.
Family sources say he was mentioned for DCM others say MM.
Both could be wrong.
Regards
Bob.

Theres two medal index cards for him on the national archives site only one on ancestry so good chance the other is a gallantry award.if it is MM it will have the issue of gazette on it hopefully.... he may be in the Edinburgh gazette as he was with a Scots regiment

edit Bob search 8722 Craigie....He was awarded MM Nov 1916

Hi, Ady
Many thanks, that was very interesting.
I am chasing an article which appeared in 1915 in a Dundee newspaper which named his family.
Will let you know how I get on.
