There is a reference on freebmd to a marriage of Priscilla BALL

Horncastle, March quarter 1895

Ref Vol 7a Page 689

There is also a Robert RICHARDSON on this page.

You can order the cert online and this will give you the fathers' names and occupations, plus ages of bride and groom and abode at the time of marriage.

kind regards, Arranroots  ;)

There is a Robert Richardson buried in Haltham Churchyard. I will look through my papers to get more details, but from memory i think he died in the 1920's.
My Richardson family [Mother's Grandfather] came from Haltham. They had a farm on the Horncastle road up until the 1870's. There was a Robert Richardson who worked for them but i believe he was not related [or at least not immediate family]. He was aged about  17 in 1860. In Roughton village accross the fields from Haltham are many Richardsons' buried in the Churchyard. This is the village where my family originally came from[c1700's].
There was also a Robert Richardson who was something to do with Haltham Church itself,Warden perhaps, and this may be the one buried in the graveyard. I have a photo of his grave somewhere.
Do you have anymore  info on your Richardsons'?

Rob.

My ancestor is Robert Richardson who married Jane Toyne 1794 in Roughton. Robert and Jane settled in Fulstow. He died in 1848, so do not have birthplace from census. Robert and Jane's oldest five children all baptized in Kirkby on Bain. Last two children baptized Fulstow. Robert and Jane buried in Fulstow.

There is a Nathaniel Richardson in Fulstow who is assumed to be a brother.
Based on that connection.. most probable baptism for Robert is 11 Sep 1768 in Haltham.
There is also a Nathaniel bp 10 Apr 1774 in Haltham.. both sons of John and Ann.

Best guess at marriage for John and Ann is one in Thimbley in 1761. Bride's name "Ann Trollop"
Thimbley being so close to Haltham and Roughton.

The other possible marriage is John m. Ann Chapman 16 Apr 1761 in Greetham.

I'm trying to prove family connections for Robert and parents.. and then siblings.
I have research done by another person ..for a family member of mine, but since I have found other mistakes in their work, I'm going back over this family and trying to "prove" some of his assumptions.

I have a lot of info on Robert's descendents.. just having problems with his parents and siblings.
Any help appreciated!

Thimbleby being so close to Haltham and Roughton.

4 miles ... but Greetham is only about 5 miles away.  Pick one or other at your peril!  :o

Exactly the problem!

The family does seem to have stayed closer to "The Bain" though out the years.. hence the leaning towards the Thimbley marriage.

Just found another record for marriage of one of Robert's daughters, Sarah, to John Timm..
in "Burgh ON BAIN" ;)

"Burgh ON BAIN" ;)

pronounced Burrer - as opposed to Burgh le Marsh, pronounced Burr :)
