Help with burial memorial

Is there someone with a good pair of eyes and an understanding of the Welsh language who could help translate the attached gravestone.  Your help would be gratefully appreciated.

Sorry the writing isn't particularly clear on the photo, but as far as I can make out I can help with some of the inscription.

John Morgan was a bard and a literary man and had been a member of the Cymdeithas y Cymrodorion (a Welsh Fellowship Society) of Newcastle Merewether, who along with John's friends erected the top column in May 1928.

The gist of the 1st verse is that that he was an excellent bard and literary man of the highest calibre and that he is worthy of commemoration and the writer wishes the "brother" no hurt.

The second verse basically gives the idea that at the end of the journey, rest is nearer, the song of ageing is weary, yet he will wake again and be young in appearance once more when he hears the voice of his saviour from his grave ................... or words to that effect

It is nice to have the translation.  I made an attempt on the piece from the newspaper via Google translator but it was  not complete.

Thanks once again; I have used the Welsh newspapers on line but as I'm not Welsh speaking I can only look-up the English papers.  As an ardent Welshman, it's possible John Morgan's name is mentioned more in the Welsh printed papers.  I have located many articles where he is mentioned on the other side of the pond in the Australian archived newspapers site 'Trove'.
