I went to bed at around 11pm as Suffolk was not available then. Very pleased to see these entries in the card catalogue this morning.

Tried searching for a few people, all I keep getting is a black and white photo of a man panning for gold !

Do you have an example Lizzie? The first search that I conducted works, with images in glorious colour.

Edward Stone married to Hannah Betts. I get the record on the index, but trying to get image gets me this - see attachment. Probably overloaded the server

Lizzie - I can view the images of both the banns and the marriage of Edward Stone to Hannah Betts in Metfield in 1807. I searched for the marriage which is indicated as at Metfield in 1807, then browsed Metfield marriages until I got to 1807.

My little boy woke up in the night around 1am, and for once I was actually quite glad when I realised the Suffolk registers had gone live! Had a fun hour looking at them before I went back to sleep.

I’ve already found loads of records I was hoping for. The highlight so far was my great nan’s baptism unexpectedly popping up, she was born in London but her mums family were from Suffolk. I found a couple of other baptisms I was looking for straight away! Loving seeing the original signatures on marriages also. Around 25% of my ancestry is from Suffolk and has been on the back burner for years, so this will keep me busy for ages. ;D
Buckinghamshire: Bignell, Talbot, Janes, Gibbs, Saunders
Cambrigeshire: Cockerton, Sharpe, Purkis
Hertfordshire: Rolph, Marvell, Pateman, Hornsby, Gall, Corkett
Norfolk: Crowfoot, Randlesome
London: Wyatt, Yarroll
Somerset: Date, Hodder, Letheby, Webb
Suffolk: Palfrey, Yallop, Kerry, Codling, Steward, Pettitt
Ireland & Canada: Hanna, Teel, Cowin, Switzer

Up at 6am (my usual time!) and lots of confirmations of transcripts. Indexing appears to be OK (at the moment).

When I turned to my Burrows/Burroughs of Badingham I hit the buffers - no registers for Badingham!
see the list at Trevor's earlier post no. 289.

I've emailed Suffolk Archives, but does anyone have any thoughts for the omission?
The registers can't all be too fragile to scan surely, and they are not in the Ipswich/Norfolk triangle mentioned above.

I cannot get "view record" either - just the chap panning for Suffolk gold.

Steve - I agree that there do not appear to be any registers for Badingham in this new release. There are however old transcriptions for Badingham. For example ...
