Do Not apply for Service Records other than through the MOD at Manning and Records in Glasgow. There are a few websites claiming, suggesting, hinting etc that they have them or can get them quicker for money....Lies, lies and dam lies.

Only apply through the Government website and pay no more than £30.

take Drew5233 advice i applied for my father-in-law's records through the MOD Glasgow cost me £30 and i got them within a month the only info i gave them was his full name and date of birth.

Hi, does anyone know if my dads army number will be on his Marriage certificate he married in 1948.i am desperately trying to find his regiment with no information other than his name and birthdate. thanks. :)


Hi my mum and dads service numbers were on their marriage certificate they were married in 1945

my dad and mums army number was on their marriage certificate they married in 1945
