India?
« on: Monday 09 June 14 09:33 BST (UK) »
I am trying to research a family who seem to have been living in India, they are
William Charles Henry Hughes Born 25-5-1884 Black Town, Madras died 1969 Goole Area
His mother Theresa Mcintyre born 1863
His father William Hughes born 1851 died 1-9-1884 I think and married 3-11-1880
Parents of William are his father Charles Hughes
Parents of Theresa are her father Peter Mcintyre Sergeant died 3-1-1873, I think he married a Ann Georgina?
William C. H. Hughes left India and came to England and married in 1912, it is thought it was in the papers that he had left but I can't find anything.
Any help on any of these individuals would be greatly appreciated.

Try FindMyPast: http://blog.findmypast.co.uk/2014/2-5-million-new-british-in-india-records-released/

Much to my surprise I managed to trace six generations of my son's partner's Indian ancestors back to the 1780s.
