Finding the Birth and Death of William Clark/Clarke

I am trying to find the birth and death of William Clark

He is the youngest brother of my mother in law.

I found him in the 1901 census born 1900
His parents were Sinclair Clark, Jessie Gunn, Lybster Caithness.
His name was never mention by my mother in-law, she emigrated to Australia in the mid 1930's.
She spoke every little about her family back in Scotland ,

I have all the dates and names of her other sisters and brothers.

Any help would be welcomed.

I found William Alexander Clark born 1899 Latheron,Caithness ,Scotland.

This was the only William Clark born between 1899/1901 in Caithness .

Sorry wrong William. Parents of William Alexander were James Clark and Margaret Sinclair.

William appeared, aged 1, at home at Upper Smerlie (which lies in the registration district of Latheron in Caithness) in the 1901 Census returns. The only other Clark(e) births registered in Caithness in the years 1898-1900 were the William Alexander Clark mentioned in the other post, and an unnamed male born in 1898 and a James Clark in 1900, all of them in the registration district of Latheron. You will have to buy credits on <a href="http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk">ScotlandsPeople</a> to see if these other ones are possibles. They may have registered his birth before they had chosen a name for him, or, as sometimes happens, they may have registered him as James but never used that name and instead decided to use William.


Interestingly a Google search on Upper Smerlie throws up an aerial photograph of the ruins of a croft house at Upper Smerlie (http://www.coastradar.com/photos/uk-photos.php?photo=42092)

If it is any help, according to the "Book of Lybster", Mr & Mrs Sinclair Clark lived at Arribeg, Upper Lybster, in the late 19th & early 20thC, and the croft was subsequently occupied by Don Clark. It is not marked on the OS Survey Map but the Grid Reference is ND252378.
