McKechnie surname in Strathendrick

The surname MCKECHNIE has been recorded in the western parishes of Stirlingshire (and neighbouring parishes in Dunbartonshire as well as in Glasgow) since the 17th century. I would be grateful to learn of anyone doing research on this name in this area.

I am researching my family tree and have come across a MARGARET McKechnie who married a WILLIAM FORSYTH and a SAMUEL McKechnie who married a JANET WATSON

Hi I have only just joined here my mum's cousins are Mckechnie and they hail from Glasgow.
My Mum- Winifred Watson Fleming
Her parents John and Margaret Fleming
Margarets parents John and Mary Rodgers
Margarets siblings Janet (Jenny) married McEwan, James married Catherine Turnbull,Mary (Maisie)married John Mckechnie.
John possibly had a brother Daniel as he is a witness on James Rodgers marriage cert.
My cousin is searching this side of the family so I can get more info if you think it help.
