Hi Maureen
Its some time since you posted your RootsChat subject but since I have not long discovered RootsChat & am also attempting some family research to do with Gamrie I thought I'd try some contact with you.
Your George Watt looks as if he could also fit the description from the 1881 Census of George 11 years old, that Watt family also listed William 14 years, Barbara 6 years, & Christian 4 years. They lived at number 29 Crovie, in the Parish of Gamrie - the Census only mentions Barbara 35 years as a fisherman's wife.
I don't know if the William mentioned by Alex (Brocher) is the one that drowned off the Isle of Roan, Sutherland, as this information has also been strongly considered for the William from our Watt family side i.e. b. 12 May 1867 d. 24 Feb 1897 (drowned off the Island of Roan, Sutherland). This William appears to have been a brother to my grandfather John b. 1 Jun 1874 & their Watt family appears to have resided at number 42 Crovie, in the Parish of Gamrie (from the same 1881 Census). The parents of this William (& of course grandfather etc) were also named Alexander & Barbara but their marriage was 27 Oct 1860 (taken from William & John's birth registration) not 14/10/1865.
John.
