A shot in the dark here guys....

Do we have anyone here researching the name Harrop, maiden name Thompson?

My research goes back from my paternal aunt and one I never met, a  Lillian Harrop born Wharfedale 15 December 1920, deceased c2007 and whose family hailed from the Leeds area of west Yorkshire in England. Lillian had two brothers, and one sister - Joe, George and Mary and emigrated to Queensland Australia probably on an assisted passage back in the early 1960's. Lillian's husband went by the name of Norman.

The family arrived on the "Orontes" in 1959 as assisted passengers.
He husband's name was Leonard and they arrived with 5 children , 4 boys and 1 girl.

The Ryerson Index has a number of deaths for men named Leonard HARROP.  I would suggest that the ones with notices placed in the Melbourne papers would be your man, given Cando's finding and as the age seems to fit.  However you'd need to see further records.

I see this cremation but nothing on that site for Lillian

I don't think it is the correct Leonard as Leonard Mowat HARROP also appears on the electoral rolls.

I have my doubts that it is the correct Lilian Josephine HARROP who died in 2007 unless of course the OP has definite information that the 2007 death is correct.

There is a listing on whitepages for a Mr L HARROP in Qld.  Perhaps the OP could search and make contact.

I would mention that Lilian Josephine THOMPSON/HARROP is consistently spelt with one "l".
