Trying to find out where in Ireland my ancestors came from ... Unfortunately British records only state " Ireland " as birth place ..... My great great grandfather was Daniel McCormick born around 1855 somewhere in Ireland his parents were Daniel McCormick and Elizabeth Lafferty ... He moved to Scotland where he later married Margaret Bicket in 1875 in st Lawrences chapel Greenock .... Would love to find out where he was born and his parents lived ?

There is a baptism on rootsireland.ie a paid site
for a Daniel McCORMICK in 1854
with parents Daniel McCORMICK and Elizabeth LAFFERTY
in Ballycastle Ramoan RC Parish, Co. Antrim

This is not to say it is the same man but could be followed up on to make a link with proof
but there is also a familytree on A***.com showing this family with Daniel born Feb 02 1854 in Ballycastle
this shows the mother as Elizabeth LAVERTY
