Village name in Montgomeryshire

I have an Anne Evans, born 1866. Montgomeryshire. The village on 1901 census looks like BLUDINGPAY. Does anyone have any idea of what this could be?

the only Anne Evans born 1866 I can see in 1901 in Montgomeryshire lives with her family (Head- Rowland) in Peniarth Ucha, Llanfyllin, Meifod and all the family born in Llanfihangel

Anne was living in London by 1901, so this isn't the right family but thanks for your time

Thank you for looking. I have since discovered that Anne was born in the village of Uwchygarreg Montgomeryshire. Impossible to know if that is the name entered on the 1901 census.

The relevant parish registers (Machynlleth) are on FindMyPast. Though many people in that area were non-conformists, some from the 18th C. Some NC records are on FamilySearch.
