There is a George PARKER marrying a Mary SIMPSON in the Gravesend registration district 1841 http://freebmd.rootsweb.com & http://extranet3.kent.gov.uk/sp/rois/marriagesearch.cfm# and there is a George & Mary PARKER in Meopham 1851+ census with a son George bc1844 but he looks to still be here in the UK 1861/1871/1881 ???

May we ask what resource you have to say that your George "SIMPSON" was born in Meopham ???

Hi Jax,

Welcome to Rootschat :).

Unfortunately I think something is wrong with your info.
George born 1844, Meopham, appears on all Censuses up til
1901 and is the son of George/Mary and later is married to Elizabeth. He is a Police Constable.

George Parker Snr was the son of John Parker and Charlotte HILLS who married 1802 Rochester, kent.

I am trying to find information on George Simpson who married Mary Ann Schmutter on the 25 Jan 1872 in Armidale NSW, Australia. I would like to find out where he was born.
