IGI has this

Mary <Rush>
  Christening:  09 MAR 1839   Scopwick, Lincoln, England
  Father:  Abraham Rush  Family
  Mother:  Jane

Unfortunately, the 1841 Scopwick census is faint and, although I did spot some RUSHes, I didn't find Abraham.

1851 has
2100/164
38 Town, Scopwick
Abraham RUSH 34 AgLab
Jane 34 Cranwell
Mary 12 Scholar
William 10 Scholar
Jane 9 Scholar
Elizabeth 7
Ann 5
Abraham 3
Richard 1
All others born Scopwick.

By 1861, they had added Charlotte (8) and Harriett (5).

I think I might have a problem with Jane as I believe she came from Ireland.

Why do you think that?  Both 1851 and 1861 censuses say she was born Cranwell, only about 5 miles from Scopwick.

Free BMD has this possibility (but they are the only two names on that page)

Marriages Sep 1837
~~~~~~~~
GREY  Jane    Sleaford  14 637
RUSH  Abraham     Sleaford  14 637
The IGI has these baptisms in Cranwell about the right time (but no Jane)
1. MARY GRAY - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Christening: 21 MAY 1826 Cranwell, Lincoln, England
 2. THOMAS GRAY - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 05 DEC 1820 Cranwell, Lincoln, England
 3. JAMES GRAY - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 06 APR 1823 Cranwell, Lincoln, England
 4. ANN GREY - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Christening: 26 JUL 1818 Cranwell, Lincoln, England
All were children of Thomas and Mary Gray/Grey.
Of course, if you have an overwhelming urge to sample some Guinness, you could chase the Irish connection!  ;D
Hi Geoff
Its my wifes side of the tree and she can remember her grandfather talking about his grandmother smoking a clay pipe and talking with an Irish accent.not much to go on though could be a red herring but she is the last arm of the tree left. I know Janes fathers name was Thomas re marriage cert,  witness was Ann Grey could be her sister. I do not Know if Thomas is on the 1851 census for Cranwell  Lincs could you be so good as to have a look please.
Thanks Sue.I was living in hope of  an in-law living with them during the census.I have been lucky before with censuses ,When I come down again I will have to go to Archives to check for Janes father Thomas Grey in Cranwell parish records to see if he was married in that parish.
I think there is another (older?) Abraham Rush at the bottom of the same page in 1841, but I cannot make out his age or wife's name.
suepip - where did you get Vicarage House from? That column is totallyl blank in my census!  ???
There is a Thomas Gray in Scopwick in 1851
2100/163
Scopwick
Thomas GREY 67 AgLab, Scopwick
Sarah 58 Scopwick
Hannah (dau) 24 Dressmaker, Ashby de la Laund
Collison (g-son) 15 AgLab, Scopwick
(Ashby is halfway between Scopwick and Cranwell.)
The same Thomas with a different wife?
