Hi Katrina, it looks like another Rootschatter was interested in the same family.  She has not been online since 2010 but you could send a p.m. and compare notes.

Hello, would you get in contact with me please? Arley Turner is a brother to Cecila Turner, mum of my mum in law. She loved to find her cousins.
Researching for my mother in law: Phipps, Turner
Researching for my husband: Fitzgerald, Corr and Scanlon

Hi Karen
Please find the the following for contacting me   (*)
My connection to Arley is via my late father William Buckley the connection is via a Buckley Turner Marriage about 1893,  It took a long time to find Arley as we were looking for him under the Buckley name,  my fathers brother told me about Lady Norah Dockers connection to the family and suggested that I start looking into her family history as this would lead me to the Small Arms Factory and Uncle Arley, I have done a fair bit of research on Lady Dockers family history to get to the Turner name which led me to Arley, however I have put this to one side for now due to the loss of my mum in 2014 I was trying to focus on mums side of the family and my late dads army days.

I have only just starting gathering information regarding family history and came across your message. My mother is the granddaughter of Arley/Harley Turner and was 14 years old when he passed away. He was married to Mary Emma Mcrath but what we know is that that had one child Harley Turner ( my grandfather) and she died at the very young age of 24 years old, my grandfather was  adopted by her twin sister Kathleen McGrath/Dodd as a baby and was bought up in Birkenhead. My great grandfather Arley died in 1961 aged 70, and his son Harley died in 1989 aged 74. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
