Richard Henry Hustwick - Western Cemetery Hull
« on: Thursday 01 May 14 13:28 BST (UK) »
Richard died on 14 Nov 1936 and is buried in the Western Cemetery, grave 8747
, comp 88.

Does anyone have access to any records that could tell me if his wife Pauline who died in 1939 is buried with him and/or whether there is a headstone?

Any help much appreciated.

Dear Bee,

Thank you for your reply.

It was the Bereavement services that very helpfully provided me the the cemetery and plot details but they didn't say whether Pauline was buried there too or if there was a headstone, so I was wondering if there was any other way of finding out this information?

Thanks again for your interest.

Hello Pinetree

I appreciate that your post was from some time ago. Did you find out any more information? I live fairly near to the cemetery, so would be happy to look for the area where the grave is and take a photo if you wish. However, I don't have a map of the location of the compartments, do you have one?  I can't see one online (there is one of the Northern Cemetery).

Regards, Joy

Hello Joy,

Thank you so much for your kind offer.  I have since found out that Pauline, full name Anna Margrett Pauline Hustwick is buried with Richard and that the grave is/was marked with an urn.

I have a map of the cemetery but this only goes down to compartments each of which may contain up to 96 graves apparently.

I don't want to put you to a lot of trouble as I'm not sure how easy an urn would be to spot amongst 96 graves, if indeed it is still there but if you wanted to give it a go perhaps you could PM me with your email address and I will send you the copy of the map.

Thanks again for your interest.
