Hello Forest and anyone else who has the Hills family ancestory.
I happen to have the same descendants as you it seems.
My dad is Maxwell Bruce Hills his dad was John Lancelot Hills and Jessie Jones and his father was John Lancelot Hills and Isabella Stanton and he died rather early and i am not sure why? and his
father John Lancelot Hills with  Annie Dean.
Then John Hills with Charlotte Linzell, and then William Hills and Sarah Cakebread and so on.
I would love any information and pictures anyone can give me please!

Hello Judy and thank you so much for making contact.    I think we may have been in touch in the past or I have been in touch with your father?  The name Maxwell rings a bell (thank goodness for unusual names). I have a note that John Lancelot and Jessie Jones had a daughter Heather and granddaughter Lana Nancarrow and that Lana sadly passed away in 2014.   I think it was about that time that I may have had contact with you r father.

I am the great niece of John Lancelot Hills who married Annie Dean, my grandfather being his brother William James.   John had a sister, Susan Catherine Ellen, who also emigrated to Australia with her husband John English and younger children in 1911.

Ian Mackenzie is a descendant of one of those children and his wife Tricia has done a lot of family history investigation.   Tricia and Ian visited us when they were last in England some years ago but are now back in Queensland.

Tricia’s email address is tricia.mackenzie44@gmail.com and I’m sure she would be able to give you more info and maybe photos.   She is much more IT capable than I am.

I really haven’t  investigated the Cakebread line although I have names back to 1630.  I have  Sarah’s parents as William Cakebread and Sarah Peck who married in Broxbourne in 1779.

Do let me know if I can fill in any more for you.

Best wishes, Thelma WIGLEY

I appreciate you letting me know about Tricia who is researching the Hills family also.  It's good to get some positive information that is correct about our ancestors.  I just want tk know how far back we go and any interesting facts about their lives and photos.  I enjoy finding out information about everyone.

Hi Thelma I just have another question in regards to John Hills who married Agnes Isabella Stanton.  John passed away quite young about 35yrs old and I was wondering if you know why?

Kind regards
