LOWE family history - Laura/Port Pirie 1883-
« on: Saturday 26 April 14 17:27 BST (UK) »
Okay please bare with me; I have been researching back each generation and the fartherst I have got to is that in 1883 BENJAMIN LOWE and wife MATILDA LOWE arrived in Adelaide on the DUNDEE ship with 3 kids and they ended up settling in Laura as Iron Workers; anyway there was 8 kids in total one that is very well known was Harold Lowe 1883-1941 who served in WW1 43rd Battalion; anyway this is the first time in my life I have gone back this far and I am now quite intrigued to find out if there is any current descendants living in laura or port pirie that know the name or the family they were in Laura/port pirie from 1883 to at least the 1940s; they lived at a place known as "ASTON HOUSE" in laura if that means anything.

my fathers family moved to Adelaide his grandfather was Albert Edward LOWE-1889-1960; the information at this area is a bit vague but they are the names and dates I can seem to find;

I am not sure how much of this makes sense but the PARENTS at the time lived in Laura and port pirie as above there names were BENJAMIN LOWE and MATILDA LOWE and they had 9-10kids names below:

I maybe be chasing my own tail but I hope someone has some more information
please any response or help would be great just want to know if I have ANY extended family alive at the moment thank you

also the ORIGINAL post I made goes back to Birmingham england 1853 where BENJAMIN LOWE was BORN.

sorry i am not sure; I am just piecing it all together; I have found some descendants in Australia up until 1950 but nothing more; and I have found descendants in England the last living one in the family tree site was a JOSEPHINE LOWE 1923-2003
Birth
11 MAR 1923
Birmingham, Warwickshire, England
Death
4 FEB 2003
Yardley, Birmingham, Warwichshire, England

so i am just gathering what I can to make a family tree and hopefully find someone related
