Thank you winston for your reply, but I have the 1891 and 1881 where abouts, I have a feeling that John Mcgurk may be in Ripon York in 1871 as wife was from there. Thank you anyway...ele.

These appear to be them but unforunately it won't let me see the actual image it keeps saying there is an error in processing. I do know that some pages have been linked wrongly in 1871 and are being redone so maybe that is what is going on.  I hope this helps.

Actually now that I look again the ages don't really fit do they will post another image of only other alice mcgurk for you to ponder.

Thank you but none seem like them. I am puzzled with these MCGURKS, cant find John Francis on bmd, even as Francis John as he sometimes uses. Cant find marriage for John Francis either to a Margaret BULMER  late HARTLEY.

I know theirs a couple of Alice MCGURKS in Durham and both born Ireland aswell! My Alice was widowed by 1881 is all I know. Mary is Mary Ann MCGURK. She seems to be a "bread earner" in the family from 1881 up, unmarried, and work all to do with pubs.

They drive me crackers! even later descendant (son of John) all over the show! Need to go to Library I think.

Thanks...ele.
