Thank you for this. We found an ejectment record that said "Feighnamungy," but "Feenagh Moloney" could always be a possibility. We really don't have much information to go by so anything and everything is helpful.

I think the Ejectement records are transcribed and maybe difficult to read- but I don't know.
It says 'Slievenamungy called Feighnamungy'
and in Tithe Applotment books as   Feanaminga.
All in Inagh parish.

With regard to the original birthdate, there is a 1916 birth record for a Patrick Quealey, Scarriff

Hello. Thank you for the information. I am going to tell her to check with her sister and see if she can get anymore information. As far as the 1916 record in Scarriff, could you please let me know where I could find that record at? We haven't yet found any record for a Patrick Quealy to match what we think to be his birth year, but that year does match up to what we believe the birth year to be. We are looking at every piece of information we find because everything is a possibility at this point. Thank you so much.

Just realised topic was duplicated  - The tithe applotments c. 1840's show Feanaminga in Dysert C.P - So wonder if Feanaminga was/is on the borders of Dysert and Inagh parishes.

Thank you so much for this. We hadn't seen it spelt as Feanaminga yet but this is very helpful. My mom and I will look into this and see if this can lead us to any new information.

Still looking at this but there is a listing for Feenamuinga on the OSI viewer. Can't see the name on the map (yet!) but it's bringing me to a spot South west of Inagh

Compared the spot on the GV map and it's in the townland of Formoyle Eighteragh west, there are 3 Quaely listed

I wanted to thank you all for all of your help. My ex-boyfriend's mom is amazed by the fact that so many people have pitched in with help and information to help her discover her heritage in connection to her father. She wanted me to give a huge thank you to all of you. My mom and I thank you all as well. We have never worked with Irish records before so this is very new to us. It's more difficult than the other records we have worked with, so we also thank you all as well for helping us out in our search for the paper trail.

I am related to some quealys. my great great grandmother ann coghlan was from ballagh near kilfenora. apparently as the census tells me, a sister of hers married Quealy and their children were living with Ann's family. I hope this means something to someone

Excuse late reply to this post. If it is still active my Great Great Grandfather Walter Quealy of Kilkee co Clare, had a son Patrick Joseph Quealy (born about 1855). Maybe a relative???
