O'NEILL AND WALSH FAMILY
« on: Tuesday 15 April 14 11:58 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Patrick and Philomena in Bride Street is correct
Philomena's maiden name was Carey, her father was Patrick Carey.  Patrick O'Neill came to Dublin after WW1 with Patrick Carey and stopped with them for a while.  That's were he met Philomena and later they married.

Patrick was fro Bucrana Donegal, his father was Michael O'Neill.  I don't know much about the family, however Michael O'Neill had a village store in Bucrana.  I was given a picture of him sat on a horse and cart outside his store, not sure if I can post it as it was taken by a travelling photographer.

The Walsh family is more complicated my grandfather Christopher Walsh was brought up by Harry Green his stepfather, trying to find out who his biological father was

Is this current thread, meant to be a continuation of any of these?

There are still no dates given here for Christopher Walsh and Harry Green and it is quite difficult to look without some sort of context.

Patrick O'Neill and Patrick Carey came to Dublin after WW1 does this mean they took part in WW1 as there could be records for them if so.
