It's been a while since I have posted and I want to thank all who helped.
My grandfather was Thomas McClure son of James and Ellen McClure, Thomas I believe had a twin sister Maggie or Margaret there was also a son William and another Robert born in Scotland.
It would seem that most of this family were born and died in County Cork. I'm wondering how Robert came to be born in Scotland. I believe Ellen McClure died about 1920 in Cork. There may be other family members that I am not aware of. James McClure's occuapation was an engineer I wonder what type of engineer? I am really not very good at this and like many folks I did not ask my dad all these important questions. Thomas my Grandfather died as a result of his ship being Torpedoed by a German Sub during WW I he was a Bosun on the Rio Verde and died in 1918. I have tried to get his Mercantile Marine records however they don't seem to be available may have been distroyed by accident.

Son of Ellen and the late James McClure; husband of Mary Bridget McClure (nee White), of 35, Hyndland St., Partick, Glasgow. Born at Crosshaven, Co. Cork.
(Died at sea of Bronchopneumonia cardiac failure) The cause of death is as noted however I believe this to be incorrect as he died as a result of his ship being sunk and the body was not recovered. Any information on Births-Deaths or other family members would help me try to piece together my family history......Thanks for any and all help or suggestions
