Hi
I am usually Ok at restoring photos with the use of Paint Shop Pro and the like, but this one has me stumped. By complete chance I spoke to an elderly family member (78) about this chap and he amazingly opened his wallet and produced the ONLY surviving photo of his uncle Private Dennis Kerrigan of the 9th Battalion, Cheshire Regt. It was in 3 pieces and was his prized possession! He wouldn't trust me to have it to scan so I had no option other than to photograph it on the table where we were.
Dennis was KIA on the 14th June 1918 at the tender age of 20 and only 5 months before the end of WW1. What terrible bad luck, but I think that makes it all the more important that his memory is preserved.
Please can anyone make a good job of this photo so I can print it off and send it to the nephew of Dennis and hopefully make his day.
Thanks in advance for any contributions.
