staverton parish records = help please
« on: Tuesday 08 April 14 12:25 BST (UK) »
Hi
I was wondering if anyone had access to the Staverton Parish records please.
Ive been banging my head on this wall for some time and would love a little help if possible please.

William Amos married Anne Wilson 3 Oct 1779 in Staverton Northampton

I would love to know more about this couple, ie births, parents basically anything that can move me on a little. They would be my g,grandparents x 4

thanks in advance
Maz

Hi Maz

According to Phillimores Atlas, the registers have been deposited at Northampton Records Office.

I've looked at the Northants FHS and freereg sites but it doesn't look as if anyone has done any transcriptions so you might have to wait until someone can visit on your behalf or look at the fiche held by the LDS library at the National Archives at Kew.

Hi.

Maz there does not seem to be anyone in Staverton that would fit for
baptisms of William or Anne.

There is a baptism on the Northants Baptism Indexes which is close to Staverton.

The marriage of the above couple is also on the Northants
Marriage indexes but does not give more detail than below.

Staverton
03-Oct 1779
William AMOS otp to Anne WILSON otp

Maybe the witnesses might help.

Hi all
thanks so much for you time in looking for me, well appreciated.
The birth is certainly interesting, so will go along that line and see what happens. As for the witnesses, being a bit blonde this morning - how do i find them?
thanks again
all the best
Marian
