As mentioned on other posts, this is a fantastic FREE site, yes it does sometimes go down at weekends etc. But it will be up and running again hopefully, I think we all tend to get a little spoilt and want instant gratification at our finger tips. At least you can sit in your nice home and check out information without car trips, bus journeys etc. Just a little patience needed  ::) End of my rant :P

I think I am right in saying that the Lincs to the Past website is hosted by the Lincolnshire County Council computer and judging by the size and complexity of their website they would need to carry out any essential maintenance at weekends.

I, like others, have said in the past that those whose major research centers on Lincolnshire are fortunate to have access at our finger tips to a wealth of free Information available through LTTP and I agree with Larkspur we just have to be patient when it goes down.

It won't even connect this morning! :(

I will demand a refund.  >:(

As a general enquiry ... is there any point in registering?  I noticed Eilleen said she logged in ... I never do that.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

I think you only need to register if you wish to purchase images from the site. I did register at the start but when I tried to purchase a number of pictures or an image of a  parish register I had all many of problems so decided it was perhaps easier to visit the archives.

But I still support the idea of the site even if it is a pain at times  ::)

It is great site and being free is a real bonus. However I do find the recent series of weekend down times really frustrating as I have little time for digging for ancestors during the week.

Off to Lincoln on Saturday to excavate some old records that haven't hit the site yet.

Me Too.
Also something else which has been annoying for some time is that when I enter a listed search for a particular register....... there is an empty space where the register has disappeared when I know from my records that I've previously extracted info from the register in question.
Additonally, this is affecting some info supplied by 'Dusty Docs' .......

Does anyone know what's going on with LTTP ?

Mike.
