There were no Electoral Rolls during WW1!

So you'll only find them for 1901-1914.
And, of course, only men on them - women didn't get a vote until 1918(those over 30) and 1928(over 21)?
And, only men who were entitled to vote.

the parliamentary electorate (i.e. those who voted for MPs) included all male owners and tenants (aged 21 or over) of dwelling houses, and lodgers paying at least £10 per annum who had lived at the same address for 12 months or more.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Many thanks for info. one day this brick wall will fall, and won't be for lack of trying.

Was there Electoral Roll for 1919?

Sorry to disagree as to Electoral Rolls during War Years but I suddently remembered I had taken notes a few years ago when visiting Cardiff Record Office and have copies of the Electoral Rolls for addresses I was interested in  for 1912,1914,1915,1918 - Servicemen were down as "Absent Voters".
I will contact Barry Library. I find since Cardiff Archives have moved it is harder for me to go there.
I will be visiting Barry sometime soon.
Thank you, Syljun

Syljun, I tried to get the electoral rolls at the council offices some years back and was told that they had burned them all, I later applied again and was told they had all been burnt in a fire,
hope you have more luck than me, Trellisick, please let me know if you do.

Have you tried Cardiff Archives? If Barry destroyed them it means a treck to Cardiff.  :'(

Syljun, I don't know if Barry gave Cardiff archives the records before destroying them?

Glamorgan Archives have the Electoral Rolls for Barry during the "War Years". It is where I took notes for certain addresses. I now need to look for one not searched for at the time.
