I am trying to find my great grandfather in the 1851 census. All I know is that he was born late 1840 or early 1841 in Manchester. That would make him 10 or 11 in the 1851 census. I do not know his parents or if he had siblings. I am hoping he can be found under William E Brown but all William Brown's of that age would help. I have seen a William Brown in the 1861 census age 21, but by that time my greatgrandfather had already left for New Zealand.
Any help much appreciated.
