Drowned River Thames 26 November 1863 - Thomas John Davis
« on: Friday 28 March 14 10:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi Everyone

I wonder if some kind person can do a newspaper search on the death of:

Thomas Davis (middle name John but may not have been used)
Born 1829 in either Arlington or Allington Wiltshire.

On 7 April 1851, Thomas married a Sarah Diggle at St. Margaret's Church in Westminster. The next time we see them in on the 1851 census living at Artillery Row in the Eccl Parish of St. Stephen but civil parish of St. John The Evangalist. Thomas is shown as a messenger. Not sure of the circumstances but Thomas is found drowned in the River Thams by the Chelsea New Bridge. Has anyone got access to the local newspapers to see if the was an announcement as to what happened or indeed if there was a record of the inquest etc.

Many thanks

Aunty Gene
