Not sure about the marriage I found in 1867 on Free BMD

The 1891 Census I found, does not tie in with the other Census returns listed below, even though James is down as a Widower, and the occupation does not seem right either.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am presuming James re-married due to an Elizabeth being on the 1901 and 1911 Census, and this was the only marriage I could find:
Marriage from Free BMD 2nd Marriage.
Marriages Mar 1897   (>99%)
Hickman    James        Birmingham
Lovett    Jane Elizabeth      Birmingham
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have noticed on the 1901 that some of the children should be STEP children to James, due to their ages and the length of time James and Elizabeth were married (1911 Census) 12 years.
Also you will notice there is a William Kirby on 1911 Census, whom I think would be Elizabeth's son from a first marriage??
I am wondering if she married James in her Maiden name of Lovett, and that her first husband was named Kirby, in fact John Kirby. I found them on an earlier Census.I also found a death for John Kirby.

This has followed on from my first problem with Thomas Hickman born c.1884 and who married Mary Ann Evelyn Fletcher.
I have the Birth certificate for Glady May Hickman born 1920, who was his daughter, which proved that Mary Ann Evelyn Fletcher was indeed her mother.
~~~~~~~~--
I have found a marriage certificate for the said Thomas Hickman married to Mary Ann Evelyn Fletcher Sept 9th 1911, and on it his father is James Hickman.
~~~~~~~~
So, where is the James Hickman I want in 1891??

I have told you everything I can about what I have etc, hopefully to give you an insight to the Family Tree.
Thanking you in a LOT of anticipation:)
I remain
Very Respectfully
