Just need a starting point please LOUIS HERMANN FERDINAND ANNERT
« on: Sunday 23 March 14 10:49 GMT (UK) »
Hi,this might be a long shot but does anyone have any access to any information at all on LOUIS HERMANN FERDINAND ANNERT,
he was born in EGGESIN in Germany in 1864. He was apparently a merchant seaman.I know that he came to N.S.W in Australia and married Sophia Laura Smith in 1895.
It's his German ancestry info that I am chasing. Any help at all regarding this first link is very much appreciated, thanks all so much.
Crankyvet.

Hi again crankyvet, I've found a lot of electoral rolls prior to my previous post where he lived in the Goldfields, Kalgoorlie/Coolgardie for many years. I thought you would be interested in this.
He's listed as a miner. A very hard life back then.

Hi Tony, Hermann Louis Annert  was actually  my 5 times great grandma.  He was born in Stettin Zachodniopomorskie  Germanu which is now Poland. His parents her August Herman Friedich Annert and Willhelmina Catherina Christina Annert nee Dohan. I suspect the name Annest was originally Ahnert or Ahnart. Herman  Louis was a carpenter on the  ship Lubeca. His father was also a sailor. Hermam came to Sydney  Australia  in 1892, his ship went back and forth between Tonga and Sydney numerous times until 1894. He married Sophie Lauretta Smith in 1895. I have a lot more information if you are  interested.
