Dingle Mount Hospital - Toxteth Park
« on: Saturday 22 March 14 13:45 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone know whether any records of this hospital exist and if so where?

I am looking for a relative Ann Mooney b 1851. She is recorded in the 1861 census living with her parents at that point in Halifax.

I have no clear link to her from that point. I am investigating whether she is the same Ann or Annie Mooney that was resident at Dingle Mount in the 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911 censuses (albiet with slightly different estimated birth years) and died at the Smithdown Road Institution in 1928.

The death certificate does not list next of kin so I was wondering whether any admission records might exist that might list next of kin to establish whether this Ann/Annie is a relation.

Regards

Paul

Hi Morisco,
I've just discovered that the place has been mentioned before on Rootschat as the 'Epileptic Hospital', at 4 and 6 Dingle Mount.
Have you looked at the Liverpool record office catalogue ?
