McGivney family from Dewsbury, Yorkshire W Riding

Hi - am new to RootsChat and not sure I'm doing this right, but looking for information on my grandmother and her family.  Her name was Margaret M McGivney (b.1889, d. 1943).  She had a brother James (b. 1882, d. 1925), and a sister Mary (b. 1886, d.?) Their mother was Mary Malany (sp?) born 1859, died 1926.  I have very limited information on this side, and have not been able to verify or find much on Mary Malany - do not know the first name of her husband (McGivney) or where he was from.  All of them appear to have been born in Dewsbury, and died in the US.  Mary and her two daughters traveled to the US in 1905 (Port of Philadelphia) but Mary Malany was widowed at that time. James came to the US before they did. This is all I've been able to find so far. Thanks so much for your help!  Melinda from Florida

Wow!  Thank you so much!  This is wonderful information.  I had no idea there were more children - there's not much information on them over here, and they didn't share very much family info.  Thanks again, and I'll let you know how the rest of the search goes

Hello Melinda

As Peter & Mary Ann married in 1879 Dewsbury I tried to see if I could find them on the
1881 census but didn’t have much luck 

I did find this birth and death entry and wondered if it might have been their first child but can’t say for sure without checking

This appears to be Mary Ann Mulany’s birth entry

Hello again Melina - another bit of info. to check out

I noticed that in 1904 James McGivney was travelling with an Annie Kelly
both going to same address 3602 No. 35th St Phildelphia

His mother Mary & sisters were also going to the same address in 1905

Could Annie Kelly be Mary’s sister?

Thanks so much!  I don't know the relationship exactly, but do know that Annie Kelly had some connection because when my GM and GGM (Mary) came to the US in 1905, Annie Kelly was listed.  I also remember hearing that name growing up, but never knew the connection.  This is awesome!  I am very grateful for the help.  I have never seen so many first and middle names that are the same interchanged so much!  It makes things a bit confusing
