Hi Viv

It isn't the 'Saved Searches' that is the problem its the 'My records' which save every look up you do  and used to give you the option to delete them.  Like Omega I only had under 10 pages prior to the New FindMyPast now I have them in the 100's.

Hi Rosie,

I've got "my saved records" which save every look up and I have a "delete" button
and I only had 4 pages and still only have 4 pages.....

Maybe they like me :)

Is it possible to do a snip of your delete button location and put it up so the others can see, please, Blodwen.  :)

I just have the old version   :(

I've just checked mine and I'm still on the old version. It is possible to delete records but only a page at a time and with over 500 pages that will take ages. It also apears to save it everytime I look at something, so if I check the record 3 times it saves it 3 times.

It seems a silly system, as if there is no way of sorting apart from by the date you looked it up, I can't see the point. At least if you could sort alphabetically that would help. Over half of the records that it has saved are of no further interest to me, as they are from look ups etc. I would prefer to be given the option to save the record, not have it happen automatically.

Try a third time - but yes - I have the old version too.  Sorry for the confusion folks.  Hadn't been on FindMyPast for ages and thought they had already done the update  :-\

We hope you like it!

There doesn't appear to be any way to tell them I don't like their saved records page and I want to opt out. I wonder how many people actually use it as it is much quicker to search again rather than plough through pages and pages.
