I have been trying to trace a living relative and i have now managed to track her to Southampton, SO53, does anyone know of a local paper that will put a family search in for free please.

My sister lives in the Eastleigh area. Maybe I could look in her telephone directory to see if the person is listed?

Don't bother with the Echo. Even their Editor says they will help, but they never do. They promised several times last year to print a picture for someone on this site, but they never did.

Thank you all for your replies, I wrote to both papers and heard back from the Daily Echo, who said they would forward the information to their editor to put into the paper....fingers crossed

Hello
just wanted to let you all know I am now in touch with my missing cousin and we hope to meet in the near future.
I ended up using the info I had and joining 192.com found an address and heard from my cousin the following day after posting the letter.
