I should have known that you would have checked the Westminster one....... :-[

I think FindMyPast have a list of missing census areas.

I was thinking that, NJ. Looking at the 1851, Kings Street seems to have been quite a long road and covers several pages. However on the 1861 it is much shorter and appears to be mostly shops and businesses.

In the "known issues" section of FindMyPast 1861 census it shows that some of Yarmouth is missing.

I have a family missing in 1861 in an area of Woolwich.....which also has "known issues"....... ::)

Sooo - it's possible that the family's records are missing in 1861 from Yarmouth.

But - assuming he died there - Charles' death also?

Which would explain things.

I suppose that his death record could have gone missing when sent to GRO......or a clerk turned over 2 pages or missed a line or two.

Burial registers could help but where............ a mini break in Yarmouth with a day or two in the archives?
