Identify Couple in Photo - HONNERY or GAINEY
« on: Tuesday 11 March 14 05:07 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help me with the names of the couple in the attached photo? I salvaged it from a crashed computer but the names of the couple in it did not survive. I am fairly confident that the couple belongs to the GAINEY or HONNERY family. If you can help, I would be ECSTATIC  ;D. Thanks, Maxell

I am sorry I am unable to help you but if you put up a copy of the photo on the “Date and Restore Photographs”  section you may get more information about the date of the photo and possible ages of the people that may help you.

Good luck
Terri

I'm afraid I think that there would be no chance of anyone here on rootschat being able to identify the couple in this photograph.

Where did you originally get the photo from? Who told you the name of the couple? Could you contact the person/persons again?

I may be wrong, but they look American to me.  :)

Thank you to Glynn who has contacted me privately to let me know that this couple is Archibald Reynolds and Flora Frazer. And I was right - they are from the Honnery/Hornery tree.  :) Thanks also to BatUser and Ruskie for your suggestions. I am so glad that I now have names for this couple. Maxell.

Out of curiosity, was it Glynn who originally gave you the names for this couple?

Hi Rusky. No - I had not come into  contact with Glynn before the past few months. I think the photo originally came from another researcher (also chasing Gainey ancestors) who is since deceased. Either way, once Glynn contacted me, I realised that she was spot on. Had I used my brains and checked some trees on Ancestry.com, I would have found the photo on a number of trees - with the same names as those Glynn gave me.  :) Maxell
