  Thank you for posting the plan of the area. It would be interesting to find out why it was named Coxhead Creek.
  I don't think I shall get to NZ in the near future. Never know.......... 

For some reason I think Copper mines come into the story, as well as Maori lands.

I am posting a very modern picture of activities in NZ. Yes, that's me in the boat....

Copper was mined for a while on Kawau Island just of the shore near Matakana/Mahurangi so that is were the connection could have come from.

I live in that area so if you need any information just let me know.

There is a Coxhead Rd in Manurewa, South Auckland, too... if you weren't aware.

Ah..........Manurewa my first port of call when we arrived here in Godzone from the UK 1967. A good move that but the better one was moving North.

Thanks for those links.
I think the other Road is the same family. There were 3 brothers Coxhead.
A place there, Thames and Woodside/Woodsend is where they lived....  I think...

Keith, That's where the name Dursley goes with Coxhead.... er, trying to find notes

Woodside is the old name for Wiri which is just on the northern side of Manurewa
