Forest of Dean Family History Site

Anyone else having trouble with this site?

I have been trying all afternoon to log in.  It has my user name at the top but each time I try to do a look up it is showing error - please log in.

I experienced the same problem some time ago and resolved the problem by opening a new account.

Thank you for your reply Victor.

I did actually try to do that but it just doesn't want to know me.  Perhaps the site is having problems - the trouble is there is no way to make contact if you can't 'get in'.
I shall leave it for now and have another go tomorrow.

Sue, the FoD site regularly times out logged on users, perhaps in order to manage a limited number of available connections. This happens to me often, especially if I have left the screen idle for any length of time, and as you say, the screen still displays my login name, although I am no longer logged in. If that is what is going on in your case, all you have to do is log in again.  :)

Thank you for your interest - I think there was a blip somewhere because I was able to get into the site the following day - so all is well now
