1799 Birth/Parents of Michael Berkley/ Ponteland

I have chased my ancestors all the way across the United States, finally locating the headstone of one M. B. (family records say Michael) Berkley, b. 1799, Ponteland parish, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England. (read off the headstone, family records match this). I have pounded the message boards, BDM records, parish records, LDS websites.... the problem is family records say he immigrated in 1832. This would be before the 1841 census. Is there any way to check on his birth & parents prior to 1837 BDM register / 1841 census? I am at wit's end. Can someone help me please? Thank You in advance, -Douglas Berkeley

That very well could be him. As far as siblings go the information on the initial request is about all I have except for his descendants.
