Source: Glos Archives (GA), PFC 329 IN 1/17 5, St Mary (The Abbey), Tewkesbury, Marriage:-
5th August 1850, William HATHAWAY, 22, Bachelor, Labourer, Tewkesbury, f. Benjamin TREATON, Servant, married Sarah HARRIS, 23, Spinster, Dressmaker, Tewkesbury, f. Moses HARRIS, Cordwainer.
Both signed in the presence of William WILSON & Samuel MOORE.
NB: Samuel MOORE definitely a Church official as he signs as a witness to other marriages.

Going back to the drawing board William's marriage must be the one to Eliza KNIGHT at St Mary (The Abbey), 1846 Tewkesbury 11 537 Mar Qtr.
Glos Archives (GA) source: PFC 329 IN 1/17 3 refers.
I'll do a transcription for you on my next visit to GA.
